Beginners Crochet - Granny Goodness

The law of crochet states that if you haven’t begun your crochet journey with a granny square, you haven’t begun … The traditional granny is tweaked a little in this class and given new life as a vintage inspired cushion that you will love. In this 3 session class, you will learn the basic stitches and techniques of crochet (chain, double, treble, and slip stitch), how to crochet in the round, follow a pattern, read a crochet symbols chart, finishing techniques and different options to stitch your project together. Throughout the sessions, tips will be given to assist you to go from ‘zero’ to a “happily hooking” novice in no time! No prior experience is required. And as a bonus, you will receive a fabulous pattern book with 15 beginner to intermediate patterns to inspire you along in your crochet journey.

Materials Supplied

• 5 balls of Loyal 8ply/DK yarn in different colours
• 4mm crochet hook
• ‘Crochet: Modern Vintage’ pattern book (book of 15 patterns, beginner to intermediate)
• Notes

• Tapestry needle (for stitching up and weaving in ends)
